Where are you getting the information the new facility "will house .... a second floor for meetings and community events, etc."? What community events? What meetings? Traditionally when VFD build the fire stations with large "meeting rooms" it usually includes having the availability to rent them out for various events. I'd suspect OPVFD will do the same thing. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Right now the OPVFD has a section of the CH for housing two pieces of equipment and a parking lot for the firemen to use when they take the fire apparatus out. They will need a new area (building) to house the equipment that is in the Northside Fire Station. Current regulations (county) require a certain number of parking spaces to go with the building.
