Why isn't there simply a link on our web site to subscribe or un-subscribe? That too. There should be more than one way to subscribe, or unsubscribe, to an e-mail blast issued by OPA - OPA web site link, e-mail to PR person, a telephone call to a specific number or voice mail, a paper form, etc. As I've stated in the past, this is 2008 not 1978, and people shouldn't have to make a personal trip to the Admin office and fill out a form to get on the list. A lot of templates do a very good job and maybe all that is needed under certain situations. Whether a template will work for the OPA web site is yet to be determined. Everybody, except perhaps those who recently believed Bill Gates actually bought the OPA, knows that the OPA web site is in need of serious overhaul and upgrading. Actually an overhaul or upgrading doesn't get it. OPA needs an entirely new web site using 2008 + technology. If it will ever get done is anyones guess. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Why isn't there simply a link on our web site to subscribe or un-subscribe? We paid how much for our site? And we are paying about $30,000 for an upgrade. This still sounds nuts to me. Goggle HOA web sites folks. We could do this for way under $10,000 even if we didn't use an off the self templet and have allot more bells and whistles then we have now. Or they could take Joe up on his free offer and maybe add just the e-mail blast subscription which is only about $25 - $50 a month. |
