Based on what the county has already said, the fire department construction will therefore require a storm water management plan for the entire White Horse Park -- whatever that plan may entail or cost. The "county" doesn't talk; only people talk, and don't believe all that you hear. The contract does not even mention storm water management, costs, or who will pay for any of those costs. Correct, and this needs to be corrected IMO. And it will be IMO if the eventual plans come up with a requirement for payment. However, I again point out that all this should have been settled before OPA began signing contracts. Correct. If there is a problem, we'll discuss it with the FD. Should our agreement have included all potential problems? Of course. I prefer that it did. But let's see how things turn out. If we need to expand our agreement, we'll do it.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: When any of us address what is required for stormwater we are just speculating. That's why I wrote: "We do not yet know what this will entail or how much it will cost." Do you know that the "agreement" area for the FD will not handle SWM within its limits? I don't. However, as you are aware the parcel is not being subdivided. Based on what the county has already said, the fire department construction will therefore require a storm water management plan for the entire White Horse Park -- whatever that plan may entail or cost. The contract does not even mention storm water management, costs, or who will pay for any of those costs. As a matter of interest, there are several solutions that could meet the requirement and when everyone's interest is considered, the results may be most acceptable. So, let's see what they come up with. In my freshman year at high school I had an Xaverian brother as a Latin teacher. His favorite comment was, "You dummy. You are doing it bassackwards." That's OPA's typical approach. |
