The community was Angola-By-The Bay in Lewes, De.. Interesting. I didn't realize Boise had built another community, especially on Delmarva, in addition to OP. Do you know if the DE community was started before OP or was it done about the same time? I'll make a drive-thru the next time I'm in the area of Lewes, DE, just out of curiosity. Their web site appears to be non-functional. A narrative says it's a community of 900 homes. A Youtube video I located isn't very flattering. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Where was that Rick, The community was Angola-By-The Bay in Lewes, De.. It was a second home built in 1977 and there was a faction that believed you did not have to spend all that money to maintain everything. The overriding theme was to keep the assessments low and they elected a board of directors to do just that. Then it got to be the full timers against the part timers. A great example was a motion to charge admission to the pools only on weekends and you swim free during the week. We did not like the stuff going on so we moved . There is a lot to be said for following your gut feeling and moving on. Bill |
