This might be of interest as well: Ray Unger at 2-18-2009 Board Meeting Note Ray says $60 per lot to subsidize operational losses on our business amenities "is not an unreasonable amount.... not a lot of money." $60 per lot subsidizes an operational loss on our business amenities of $510,000 based on 8500 lots. Viewers will also note Ray refuses to say how much of a loss is unacceptable. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Bill, here are some direct Ray Unger Quotes: Joe, Thanks for sending those quotes as well as thanks you to Nancy w, Nanci P, Jack, and Rick for supplying the info. I tried to be objective when I read everything that was attributed to Ray and I have the opinion that Ray has a consistent message that is realistic when it comes to the losses . I don't think his message is that the amenities are "supposed to lose money", but that they do lose money. If amenities are supposed to lose money we can return the fees to the beach club because we dare to make a profit there. I agree with Marty that we should generate more revenue with the YC and golf but looking at the both venues in the recent past I see a lot more people there and a staff in both places that is really putting forth an effort to please the customer. I was in the YC fri, sat, and sun. they had three weddings , talked to some of the folks that attended those affairs and they were pleased with the service . I tried to get a tee time at the golf club and the first available was at 3:30 tomorrow, it did not work for the group and I had to book somewhere else so there is play there also. It is a great community, I happened to have had a home years ago in another Boise Cascade community and I did move because they had a Board of Directors that was committed to not spend funds needed to upgrade the community and everything went into disrepair. That was in 1987 and to this day they have never recovered. I am glad it is not happening here. Bill
