Lake of the Woods was first ......... A very nice and informative web site. This is from their web site regarding community and members participation - Lake of the Woods operates with a paid staff headed by the General Manager, and a system of advisory committees composed exclusively of unpaid volunteer members of the Association. More than 100 members are so engaged and many serve on more than one committee. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Marty, Lake of the Woods was first and Ocean Pines second. After that I do not think any other communities were built in our area. Boise only stayed in the land / house business for a few years. Most of what they did was in California, I believe. Nancy |
