I was very happy with Ocean Pines until that crew came along. I had nothing bad to say....just came down to my "Playhouse" and played.

Hummm. It was over all those pre-Stachurski years that most every board just allowed our infrastructure to deteriorate all in the name of keeping assessments low. Some board candidates ran on platforms of reducing the assessment. Now we are paying the piper for electing board members on that basis in many cases.

Stachurski at least wanted to stop the deterioration, beginning with a new Community Center. It turns out his approach was too aggressive and, thanks to Marty Clarke, we eventually ended up with a new CH on the old site for far less money. However, in terms of the big picture Stachurski did bring the need for good reserve policy and infrastructure to the forefront.

The board now is proposing/considering many of the general ideas espoused by Stachurski, perhaps just not at the spending levels or extent he envisioned.
