Section 5: OPA Board Subject: Seacrets Lease 4/15/2010 Msg# 738882

The lease is signed, sealed and delivered. Does that mean board members should ridicule and demean association members who point out issues in the hopes such issues will be addressed and considered in subsequent negotiations? Had those involved been fully informed, some would not be making false claims about how Seacrets paying the property tax helped the assessment bottom line. By the way, the next negotiation with Secrets is substantially less than five years away. It will probably be soon since the oceanside lease expires April 30, 2011, unless the board is already in Top-Seacret negotiations. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Nancy: The lease negotiations with Seacrets has been front page for over a year. It is now a done deal for at least the next five years. I personally think OPA has done well for the membership in the final product. Joe on the other hand thinks that the board screwed it up. The one thing any sane person can agree on, with maybe the exception of Joe, is it is final, signed sealed and delivered. Marty |
