What specifically do you see as being the greater Worcester County benefit by the commissioners making Ocean Pines ratepayers take a $1 million risk rather than the developer who stands to pocket hundreds of thousands of dollars by avoiding building his own sewage treatment system? What difference does it make to the overall county if Pennington sewage is handled by Ocean Pines plant or the developer's own plant? None of the funds can be used for anything in the greater county area. People in Snow Hill, Pocomoke, Ocean City, etc. are not impacted in ANY way by the decision. It does them zero harm and zero good. This notion that the decision was for the greater county good is preposterous. Were you at the hearing? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I couldn't agree more. Too often elected representatives see their responsibility only as one of selfishly serving their particular district. Worcester County commissioners are responsible to serve the whole county, not just a portion of it. |
