I'm not 100% sure of the ownership. From what I can gather the primary developer is a fellow named Alan Scholnick. I think he is from the DC or Baltimore area. The developer's New York attorney was at the hearing, along with his local attorney Mark Cropper. Interestingly, someone told me Scholnick apparently owns, controls, whatever a company in which local resident Richard Passwater may be involved. The OPA's attorney was not present to my knowledge. Anyway, don't take any of the above company info as gospel. Passwater was at the the public hearing and sat with board member Skip Carey. As for managing additional traffic, there are no plans - unless one considers some state rebuilding of Route 589 in 10 or so years as a plan. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Who are the developers of Pennington Commons anyway? The people, not the corporation. Who stands to make money off the deal? Sewage treatment aside, what are the plans to manage the additional traffic? |
