Of course, as you said, within the context of a multimillion dollar budget, the amount is minute...... but going forward, the whole incident is quite significant with respect to the need for the board to be able to function well together.....perhaps association members should be questioning the ability of some board members to effectively handle the sensitive personal relationships required to make important decisions that reflect what is best for our community.....it would seem to me that the "Fractious Four" have abdicated their responsibility to the community in that respect....perhaps they should consider removing themselves from the board since they have compromised their ability to be objective about upcoming issues....i'm not sure they can/care to overcome their pettiness....just my opinion, popular or not..... Terry |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: then the GM has the audacity to request a significant raise in dues this year.....go figure???? One might reasonably question whether less than $1 per week increase is significant. Moreover, whatever the cost to investigate Marty, it is insignificant in terms of a $12 million or so budget. Having said that, while the amount in terms of the overall budget may be insignificant, it is still absolutely wasted money. |
