So.... let's spend hundreds of thousands on new bathrooms because the old ones are not kept clean?
I certainly did not suggest that we spend hundreds of thousands of dollars. In fact, it's hard for me to believe why such a budget for rest rooms would be so high.
It's my belief that the current configuartion problems are actually due to an ineffective rehab.
It was "out of order" for the entire day which happened to be over the July 4th week. The next day it was fixed. The real problem is that ladies need more toilets than men do and outdated designs rarely accounted for this. Most current public rest room designs take this into consideration. You missed the real point of the post. The ammentity that attracts the most people with the most profits gets neglected! Kevin |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: They are not clean. This may not be entirely the fault of the staff members charged with cleaning, but rather the fact that they are at or below sea level and continually subject to incoming sources of sand and water. Air circulation is non existent. So.... let's spend hundreds of thousands on new bathrooms because the old ones are not kept clean? When people walk in to a below grade or above grade bath off the beach, they will track in sand. When the baths are clean they are acceptable. The men's room has some basic design flaws as the changing room stalls and general area are seldom used, while the urinals, sink, toilet stalls, and showers are jammed in a smaller space. Do a rehab. Two weeks ago my wife had to wait in line for 20+ minutes as one of the stalls in the ladies room was out of order. Stuff happens. I be interested in knowing how long it was out of order. |
