I don't understand that logic. What is wrong with repairing or remodeling? I assume you maintain your own home and don't let it disintegrate to the point that you feel it would make sense to rebuild it. Why doesn't OP maintain its facilities instead of letting them rot away? Is any scheduled maintenance work being done to the community center or is that going to go the same way as most of the other buildings? | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I think the original plan called for replacement, above ground, for around $300,000 to $350,000. It makes little sense to me to spend $300,000 or so to put new baths in front of an old Beach Club. Once one gets into that kind of money (and $200,000 for paving), seems it would make sense to perhaps look as well into the cost of a new structure. |
