Trust me, I'm not attached to the course. I have never believed it added to the value of my home and I'm not happy shelling out money every year to keep it afloat. With that being said if I had my choice of someone taking it over and eliminating ALL cost to the association I would go that way.
If you ever get to see a coyote in the pines you will be shocked at the size difference between what you had in Arizona and what we have here. The PA game commission did genetic testing and found that the PA coyotes have wolf blood, seems they cross bred up in Canada and New York state. They run as high as 50 pounds, about twice the weight of a western coyote. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: How many homeowners does it take to make a "LOT"? Face it, you are emotionally attached to the OP "goff" course. I don't really have a dog in this fight, if I could still play golf I would. It seems that a "LOT" of OP people do not play our course and could care less about it. The cost per lot doesn't seem quite off the end to me and I'm sure maintenance costs for the course to be an open space might not be cheap. Maybe we could just let the area grow wild so "all" of those coyotes would have a place to play, along with a few javelinas. When we lived in Arizona there were quite a few coyotes around and I enjoyed the fact that people had to keep there cats indoors and out of my flower beds. There were also some rather large owls that could pack off a small dog or a cat. We enjoyed seeing the wildlife there as well as the absence of much snow and cold weather. |
