No matter what the loss the golf course should stay.
I'm certainly willing to support some level of operational subsidy for business amenities losses, and all of us already support totally all capital and depreciation costs. However, I think I will draw the line at supporting losses without limit. It is a great amenity and one day the support hopefully will come. Support among association members for golf is on a 10-year or so decline. All attempts to reverse have failed for at least 10 years. Things have become so bad in terms of OP golfers support that we are now paying to subsidize a course where the proclaimed primary business plan is to attract outsiders. Something about that just doesn't seem right/fair to 8440 association members. |
