The fact that decisions for "improvements" can and have been made using "legal technicalities"
Indeed, as in spending more than $5 million on a project by spreading it out over many years to avoid a referendum. Legal? Yes. However, the decision also left the course in a constant state of construction since around 2006-2007... and the work is only half done. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: In regard to OP remaining in the golf business........ NO, NO, NO!! I had a golf membership for a few years and am an avid golfer, but with the number of golf courses (that are properly maintained by individuals who know what they are doing) in the area, there is no need for the OP course to continue to exist. Add to that the ongoing problems that exist with drainage and whatever other problematic situations that arise all too frequently, the course has been a (pardon the pun) an unnecessary DRAIN on community resources that could be better sent. The fact that decisions for "improvements" can and have been made using "legal technicalities" is a reflection of the mess that has been created because there is little regard for what the majority of folks in OP may prefer. Sneaky and underhanded come to mind when decisions are made by our community leaders(????)................................ So I vote YES to COPE's "conversion" proposal, and NO to continuing to maintain the golf course. |
