When my son moved from OP to New York, he was amazed that they have so many small tables and chairs that people are free to sit at and move around--and which don't get stolen. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Joe & OP Residents, Think twice before endorsing COPE. A public park would become a nuisance to the community and home to vagrants, homeless, illegals and boardwalk undesirables. Resulting in more theft, robbery, assaults, home invasions,underage alcohol and drug deals. How would you keep them out? Gated Community? Do you think residents want to wait in line on Route 589 to get in. Money saved would have to go to police, security, maintenance and trash removal. What will happen to our Real Estate? Who wants to live in central park? We have a quiet little seaside community without a lot of outside problems. It appears our biggest problem is that some people have too much time on their hand to come up with ideas like COPE and not thinking them through. Please post! Zeman Wow....do you think we should start gathering up all the children and pets right now??? We can't be too careful. I think may there might be a little too much DRAMA here. (Or maybe the post is sarcasm.....and just I missed it? That seems to be happening here lately.) PS: Our daughter lived 8 doors from Central Park, NYC..... and absolutely adored it. They let just anybody in that place! Nancy |
