For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Not my silly idea. The parking regulation is in your Declaration of Restrictions which you agreed to abide when you purchased your lot in Ocean Pines. They may not be enforced, but they are enforceable. Yes. Yes. Heard all this before. And trash cans should not be visible from the street;, and no trailers; ad nauseum. The DRs are not law. The DR enforcement would be by CPI and the ECC Committee. Let's see, a car is parked on a street in OP. CPI writes up a violation and sends this to whom?????? Of course no one would know if the violation was on a weekend. If the car is owned by an association member, CPI sends it to the association member address. The association member receives it a few days later but the car is no longer at that location. Association member throws the violation notice in the trash. What happens next? If the car is not owned by an association member, the car owner throws any violation notice in the trash. I'd like to know how no-parking item in DRs would be enforced.... or should I ask how it would be enforced without a public lynching of board members. Marty, you can go on and on about the DRs and parking, but the rest of the world knows it is meaningless.... and so do you. |
