Section 5: OPA Board Subject: GM Challenges Board Msg# 915011

It's clear that O'Hare wanted the golf matter brought up again and it's clear that there had been some type of discussion beforehand between her and the GM.
"I don't take No for an answer" may be an admirable trait in the real estate business but it is a disastrous trait in a board setting. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: A recent article in the Bayside Gazette contained this: O’Hare, speaking for the minority, said she was disappointed by the outcome of the vote to replace Casper. “I think decisions were made before they walked into the room,” she said. “Nobody’s opinions were changed during the discussion. I’m extremely disturbed about this decision and I think the bottom line is they just felt they needed a change and I absolutely see no logic in that.” What I find most amusing is that Sharyn says the majority made their decisions before they walked into the room. She is upset they didn't change their opinions during discussion. What's laughable is that her decision, as well as Terry's and Cordwell's, were made before they walked into the room and were not changed during discussion either. Quite frankly, one of the things that drags board meetings out for far too many hours is endless discussion when the outcome is already known by all parties. |
