Yes I realized that the school is not in the league with Ivy league schools, but it didn't have the same price tag.
I have seen studies showing that the main benefit of an Ivy League education are connections with student peers who make good post graduate business contacts not necessarily the quality of education. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Excuse me Mr Bauersmith, my daughter graduated from Salisbury and she is doing quite well, thank you. She made the comment to me many years ago that she thought the teachers at SU were quite good. Yes I realized that the school is not in the league with Ivy league schools, but it didn't have the same price tag. I think you unfairly criticize the teachers, you assume that they are at Salisbury because they "can't make the cut". Have you ever thought they may be here for different reasons? Say quality of life? Teaching instead of publishing? There are good and bad in any profession including teaching. |
I suppose Ivy League status also could look good on the resume'. It has been a while but during my financial planning years a statistic we used were that a majority of millionaires in this country did not even have a college degree.
