Agreeeeeeeeed - coasted through public high school and first 4 years of college (Tier Unknown) on that 8th grade education, and what amazes me now is that we typically had 40 kids per class, one teacher, no teacher aid and Sister Felicia, bless her heart, was the principal with no executive assistant, except perhaps Sister Damian when she had a cold. Of course, the 8th grade was the best 3 years of my life | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: it may even slip down to the level of an 8th grade parochial institution, Au contraire -- an eighth grade Catholic school education in the fifties is at least the equivalent of a Tier 1 college education today. Perhaps even a Masters today if one considers the basics of an educated person -- reading, writing, and arithmetic. Simply observe the intellectual level of Tier 1, 2 and 3 students on spring break. The amount of beer wasted in those funnel pour episodes is clearly a sign of lower intelligence after education. |
