But since I started the Thread, I do like the drift.
Ryan's retaking the test on Friday, so I may be able to shed further light on that subject. His father suspects that these tests may be made up from a larger pool of questions that are randomly assembled to form the 140 question test. It appears that the other three from his class did not have the same sickle concentration and each apparently took different tests. More later after Ryan hopefully knocks this one out of the park. As we were saying, When I left the AF in Dec '66, I got a job in the executive training program at Chase. Paid $6,000 a year with a 10% raise in six months. With a wife and two kids and an apartment in NYC, it behooved me to find a part time job fast. NY Air National Guard...for the next 27 years. (The retirement checks still help pay the bills...sort'a.). |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: When you look at those prices compared to what they get today it's enough to make your head spin You reminded me of some of my income and expenses in the mid to late 60s. Best part time job in college; US Post Office, $1.96/hr; 1st job out of college $6,800/yr + company car [Campbell Soup, accepted, and IBM were comparable] New 1966 Olds Cutlass $3,600; 2 bedroom apartment rent in Williamsport, Pa. $100/mo. Gas was running about 30 cents a gallon or you could skip that and buy a couple cans of Pabst for the same price. Thread Drift |
