There was a "permanent" board resolution in the Book of Resolutions that made the Golf Governors the de facto Golf Advisory Committee. The Board did a pro forms approval of this "appointment" once during my service on the Board and I, in fact, served one year as liaison. The resolution was changed after I left my initial six years on the Board -- by whom, specifically, I don't know.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Hi Dan. Hope all is well down there in Florida. I'm wondering if you can confirm or clarify my memory of the Golf Governors back around 2004 or even earlier. My recollection is that it was board policy to accept the elected Golf Governors as the OPA golf advisory group and to appoint a board liaison to that group. This went on until around 2007 when Dave Stevens pushed to have non governors on an advisory committee. Marty Clarke says that was never the case. What is your recollection? |
