I believe there is some level of mis-information as, based on the GM's comments in the 10/29 board meeting, he noted that the report was produced by LU and given to Mr. Cordwell as the committee liaison. Mr. Cordwell's denial that he is not the committee liaison serves to support my concerns regarding mis-information.
I believe what you call a "report" is actually some sort of business plan prepared by LU to increase golf memberships among association members. This is the business plan approach LU told the board it would use when the board decided to replace Casper with LU early in 2015. I do not think the GM or the board president or even the board as a group should have the authority or right to keep any elected board member from seeing that report. Dismissing the level of acrimony during the meeting, I would suggest to those who would listen that the report (assuming it exists) should be presented to the board for review prior to the newly appointed oversight committee meeting with LU. Just my $0.02 Difficult to offer an opinion on any "oversight" group without actually reading the contents of the contract with LU. Have you seen it? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Marty, Point well taken. That circumstance is what has me most concerned. I do not see a "golf" advisory committee listed on the web site, nor could I find if it is included in another advisory committee. Assuming the President created a special committee with selected board members to oversee LU per contractual terms and conditions, (lets not get into the validity of the committee appointment argument), at this point I am not certain if a report was ever created, and if it was created, who has it. Dismissing the level of acrimony during the meeting, I would suggest to those who would listen that the report (assuming it exists) should be presented to the board for review prior to the newly appointed oversight committee meeting with LU.
