Section 5: OPA Board Subject: It Was Embarrassing Msg# 937295

LU claimed that their plan was "proprietary" and they could not reveal the plan to anyone.
I think you exaggerate the implication of the word he used. Here it is in the video and while he did say the word proprietary, he also went on to explain some of what would be done. Essentially he talked about marketing directly to association members interested in golf. Start the video and it jumps right to where the LU rep explains what they would do. Sounds to me more like common sense than some deep, dark secret. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I believe what you call a "report" is actually some sort of business plan prepared by LU to increase golf memberships among association members. This is the business plan approach LU told the board it would use when the board decided to replace Casper with LU early in 2015. This may or may not be the case. When LU was asked during the competitive interview process regarding their plan for increasing membership, LU claimed that their plan was "proprietary" and they could not reveal the plan to anyone. Stevens, Collins, Renaud and Clarke voted to give management of our course to LU even though LU would not reveal their plan to increase membership. Now, Stevens and Collins are upset that the GM may know the plan, but is not sharing the plan with them? |
