Please have realtors contact me I want out of the op madness. The food truck idea is absurd . ideally food truck's serve "exotic food " eg. Vegetaterian, latino, or other specially menus. As a former new Yorker, I have never had a decent hot dog in ocean city area. Food trucks thrive in urban work or tourist areas -not at an out of the way location. Rosiland
Hi Rosalind, I don't think this young man has any concept of how Food Trucks "work". He has been on the Eastern Shore most of his life and just doesn't "get it". There are Food Trucks that stay in industrial areas to provide breakfast and lunch for the workers there, and there are Food Trucks that are close to our Washington Mall to provide much needed food to tourists. They are very tacky and are required to move around and not stay in one place too long. All must go away after a certain hour. As you say, most have exotic foods, and you need a lot of different ones to meet the satisfy the tastes of a large number of people. They are great to have at large gathering in out of the way spots where there is no place to cook, or if no one wants to do so. In my area, there is a Food Truck that is parked at a gas station near the very large Metro Transit Center. They serve a great breakfast and people can get a quick bite before getting on the train. Another one, also parked at a gas station sells hundreds of Pupusas each day. No one WANTS TO LOOK AT A FOOD TRUCK at a $5 million Yacht Club. A Food Truck is NOT a visual asset. It will look like the carnival is in town. You are right. It is an absurd idea. Nancy |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Please have realtors contact me I want out of the op madness. Will or can homeowners vote this Donnybrook idea out of the budget? A succession of board members never have the business acumen to run the hoa and assets adequately. The gm is out of control. The tail is wagging the dog. |
