I couldn't agree more.  As someone who is following the activities of how the OPA is currently being run, with the intent of being prepared going forward, one of the observations I have made is that a lot of people talk about issues and their disagreement with a tactic or action taken by either the GM or the board.  Unfortunately, in many occasions, the discussion among OPA members is all that happens.  I have not seen much initiative to actively take the issue to the board for consideration.  I some instances I'm sure people throw their hands in the air in frustration and leave the issue on the table without further intervention and suspect that the board has observed this behavior as well.

I believe there should be more direct communication to the board via the appropriate channels to ensure they are aware of the desires, opinions and requirements of the membership they serve.  I  for one plan to continue my observations and have a more active participation in soliciting feedback and opinions from the OPA membership.
