Section 5: OPA Board Subject: OPA Food Truck Msg# 940541

I have yet to hear the GM clearly explain the details of alternatives to a food truck and what those might cost to implement.
There is something awfully fishy about this. How many people would have voted for the new YC were it known that it would result in the need for a food truck. I sense some kind of a coverup of a major mistake/blunder. Perhaps a fireable mistake, like the cracked pool coverup. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: As I understand the issue, the County has declared that the YC outside food operation last summer was in violation of some county rule and could not continue. So, rather than comply with the rules to serve outside, we buy a food truck. I have yet to hear the GM clearly explain the details of alternatives to a food truck and what those might cost to implement. At any rate, one humorous thing happened at the Town Hall meeting today. The GM was explaining is his usual car-salesman manner how the food truck would be utilized at various venues around the Pines. One person inquired about Kiwanis selling hot dogs at events like Movie night, etc. Thompson said Kiwanis stopped doing so. An audience member replied, "Yes, they stopped because they weren't selling enough hot dogs." |
