You are essentially correct. However, there was a time when Bill Rakow pushed for a small, one-story, summer-only YC structure. I do not recall Thompson ever supporting that idea. However, Rakow and Moroney became members of the Thompson private advisory committee on the YC. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: As I remember it, there were three "concepts". A rehab of the existing building (championed primarily by Marty Clarke to much ridicule), a moderately expanded YC and the colossus we now have. I admit to being an outside observer but I don't remember the GM ever saying we needed something smaller than what was finally proposed.
