So Joe, should we ask for the money back we paid for an amenity we don't really have.
Well, seems to me that full use the gym at the Community Center for a few hours four or so days a week must represent something. At any rate, it would be far less expensive to eliminate pickleball, give all members a one-year refund, and not spend $750,000 in capital. Would not cost much to change over 2 tennis courts and then all the rest is profit for OP... Seems to me that is more or less what Tom Herrick proposed. The board voted NO. The board voted instead to spend $150,000 and build no new pickleball courts. You can't make this stuff up. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: So Joe, should we ask for the money back we paid for an amenity we don't really have. Keep in mind that we actually came out in the plus side in the books (unlike many of the others that keep losing $) Then again.. If we had our own courts perhaps the folks who have not renewed because of no dedicated courts would renew & even hold tournaments & bring even more money in. Would not cost much to change over 2 tennis courts and then all the rest is profit for OP... |
