No secret agent but I was considered the Bondo Man around town.   It is funny how, looking back, we perceive our cars as real classics but at the time we were mostly looking at cars we could afford that were 4 or 5 years or more old and we thought looked good or were priced well. My first car was actually a 55 Plymouth which I nosed, installed lights in the front wheel wells and added a cut out so the mighty 6 cylinder engine  would sound more powerful. Unfortunately it had a little more rust than I thought when the spare tire and jack fell through the bottom of the trunk one day!

In the end the main bearings started going bad so I added some 90 weight gear oil to the crankcase sold it to a used car lot and ended up with the 53 Studebaker my Dad found in a migrant labor camp. [that is when I became the Borg Warner transmission expert....or not.
