year 1968 wasn't a law to wear belts.
I was more interested if seat belts were even available then. I remember installing them in our 1960 Austin Healy as an after market and "think" they came standard with my 1966 Olds Cutlass but if they did were the type that just went across ones lap. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: year 1968 wasn't a law to wear belts. But I can tell you from that day on I have buckled up. Funny thing about the accident it happened on the fourth of July while going to a demolition derby. One of my all time favorite cars 68 Merc. Cyclone fastback 428 cobra jet. Not many made. |
