For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Seat belts took off somewhere in the mid fiftys. Volvo was the first to install them as std. equip. The actor Janes Dean was one of the reasons seat belt business really got started. He totaled his Porsche and was killed. Probably could have survived if seat belts had been available. |
