I agree with you. Why, all of a sudden after 50 years is Mr. Bailey asking for a legal opinion about who should maintain the ditches? To use your often used advice maybe he should read the association rules? Even if it wasn't spelled out in the DR's which it is and, is very clear from what I have seen after 50 years a precedent has been established. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I wrote, "Who said owner responsibility for drainage is changing?" You replied, "No one that I'm aware of. That's the point." No, the point is that the GM is seeking a legal opinion for the purpose of supporting the GM's previously stated opinion that members may be responsible for some drainage maintenance currently done by OPA. This action by the GM, after 50 years of current policy is alarming... or at least should be alarming, for every association member. Call it hyperbole or whatever you like. This is a big issue. The GM would not be looking into it if it was not a big issue with potentially major consequences for association members. |
