There is no way to swim anywhere and not have some small amount of water get in your mouth.
My guess is the beach is very much more polluted after this downfall. Some sewage tanks are overflowing raw sewage due to loss of vacuum. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Most likely, the pollution has increased due to the heavy rains. BUT, it won't be tested again until next Thursday. Doesn't sound like a very good plan. The main concern with polluted water is the risk of contact to an open wound. Possibly a scratch that one is not even aware of. I'm sure accidentally swallowing it isnt good either. Or even wiping your nose, eyes, mouth with a wet hand. To be continued, I'm sure! |
