Robert,
My guess is that there probably are portions of the HOA act that are arcane and confusing. What is not a guess is that the basic premise of the HOA act is to ensure homeowners are notified of board meetings which apparently did not occur in this case. For OPA's attorney not to recognize that having a non-employee related meeting following their private session to discuss the GM is a no-no is troubling. Perhaps the old adage, "you get what you pay for" applies here. And you can take that one of two ways. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I wasn't "zinging" you, when I want to do that I'll be much more direct! What I was doing was expressing my belief that there is much ado about nothing, my guess is that if anybody reads every line of the HOA rules they will find that breathing during a meeting is a violation! |
