My guess is that there probably are portions of the HOA act that are arcane and confusing.  What is not a guess is that the basic premise of the HOA act is to ensure homeowners are notified of board meetings which apparently did not occur in this case.

For OPA's attorney not to recognize that having a non-employee related meeting following their private session to discuss the GM is a no-no is troubling.  Perhaps the old adage, "you get what you pay for" applies here.  And you can take that one of two ways.
