Marty, if my memory serves me correct in that study the size of pipe was the Money driver due to the grade. This may not be exact but I think the top tier was a 60 inch pipe and we had topo drawings all the way to the woods behind Admin building. Then you are correct there was a silt pond and filtering system that AT THE TIME would have been approved. Not sure if things have changed in 10 years but for sure down the road on OPA side would for sure work. This was not just something drew up on a napkin this was a engineered and studied fix to this problem. There were detailed maps and everything needed to go to State permitting for approval like I said AT THAT TIME. If I am not mistaken it was designed for a 100 year storm. All this should be available some where in Ocean Pines but again I am no expert on this after 10 years. Like you said if we can drain a golf course we should be able to help an entire section of people. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Ken: You are correct, there are some high points along the path, but I believe there is engineering specifying the properly sized culvert pipes to allow the subject water to flow to the to be created filtering pond on the land behind the administration building. However, getting any flow at our elevation ain’t going to be easy. Marty |
