What I found bizarre is that they asked for public comments prior to reading the "charges" and the comments needed to be focused on the topic of the special meeting.
Janasek could have asked for anyone to speak on his behalf. He did not. In fact, he said he would offer no defense against the charges and stated, "What I did was offensive." Based on what transpired and was made known during the meeting, Janasek probably deserved to be removed. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I attended the meeting and provided a short public comment in addition to others supporting Tom. What I found bizarre is that they asked for public comments prior to reading the "charges" and the comments needed to be focused on the topic of the special meeting. I am not familiar with the process, but it just seemed backwards. I didn't speak to Tom directly prior to the meeting and only received my information from here on this forum. So, at least I felt like I had an idea of what the meeting was going to be about. |
