The board needs to stay out of employee matters that should be addressed by the GM. If for some reason the board had concerns about a certain employee that should be addressed by the GM with a report back to the Board. The sad thing on my case is I thought I had a good relationship with 4 of the 7 members at the time. Two had just been elected to the Board for 4 month, one of which I had absolutely no interaction. In my case it appears that what the board did was wrong, but ultimately legal given the broad employment at will doctrine of Maryland law. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: And Nate, let’s not forget the person in charge when you were fired - Doug Parks. And the Trendic case. He was charged with violating B-08 in his dealings with employees. The board and Parks tried to use that as an excuse to remove Trendic. Now he is a hero. The OPA soap opera continues. |
