Jacki, the attorney‘s investigation, as far as I know, was limited to looking into Colby’s charges about how he spoke to her in what she felt were demeaning and insulting ways. Asking for civility while personally attacking someone with name calling is not exactly civility. ![]() I am not sure the attorney was charged with clearing or not clearing anyone. I think he was asked to talk to people who presumably witnessed Perrone’s interaction with Colby and report what he was told back to the board. Upon review of that report, it was the board via a 6-0-1 vote who cleared Perrone of the charges. Not a single board member voted that Perrone was guilty of the charges. Emotions aside, those are the facts to the best of my knowledge. My really serious problem with the entire process is the board never gave Colby a chance to address the board directly. On the other hand the accused never had the chance to confront his accuser. In short, this is a messed up situation. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: ok, thanks for your input. i'll look into this further and try to explain it better. but my thinking is he was cleared of specific charges by an attorney who reviewed the case. but the way he treated colby, disrespectfully, yelling at her in front of her employees, is never acceptable. I'll have to dig deeper for exact details to explain a bit better. i don't think i'm being radical in expecting our board members to behave civilly to everyone, maybe especially to our OP employees. and due to perrone's behavior specifically, OP has lost an amazingly talented employee. |
