Remind me again why OPA doesn't eliminate the GM position, change the BOD to strictly advisory mode; and turn this community and it's budget over to a professional management organization?
I am no lawyer, but I don't think the board can be changed to simply an advisory body. The board will likely always have the ability to hire and fire any management company. Thus any management company will be prone to do whatever the board insists on in terms of any major issues. The last time the board investigated this, a management company handling everything under board overall supervision regarding policy matters was much more expensive than we have now. |
