A Virginia mom who endured Mao Zedong’s Cultural Revolution before immigrating to the U.S. ripped a Virginia school board at a public meeting Tuesday over its stubborn support of the controversial critical race theory.
"I’ve been very alarmed by what’s going on in our schools," Xi Van Fleet told the Loudoun County School Board members. "You are now teaching, training our children to be social justice warriors and to loathe our country and our history." She likened CRT, which critics deride as a form of "neo-racism," to China’s Cultural Revolution, a Mao-led purge. YES I'D AGREE There's resistance across the nation against Critical Race Theory (CRT) and the 1619 project --resistance against school boards jamming those into the curricula of children. There's been many examples of school boards being called to task, with members of the public raising their concerns. That Loudoun County, Va. example is especially powerful. Seems that woman of Chinese heritage is in the perfect position to have those fears, that these school boards in the US are imitating China's dictatorial actions. Feeding propaganda to school kids in their curricula. AND some states are taking action. On June 8, North Carolina became the seventh state to introduce a bill that would ban critical race theory in its schools. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: >>>in the real world the color of your skin, your religion or sexual orientation all provide additional obstacles.. even here in the USA.. making it much more difficult then if you were a Caucasian<<< I would not disagree in the general sense. However, it seems Mexican immigrants have been very successful in establishing businesses in some areas such as landscaping and construction. Regardless, I will not stand for being called a racist simply because I was born white -- and that is exactly what is happening today. If you read my commentary you may have noted the book publisher who published a number of these books said having them in the library was a way to "decolonize" the book list. Decolonize?
