Robert:
We need to talk. My family’s business was in Anacostia. I basically spent my childhood in S E Washington DC. Marty |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I do believe there are a lot of us sick and tired of being blamed for it. I truly believe that most white people are disgusted about how our ancestors treated black people. What gets me is when someone (white person) goes on and on about it. These social warriors need to realize that most of us get it, it was wrong, it was terrible and we should be ashamed. the fact is that most white people are ashamed, but we / I don't need to be called out about it or told we are racist, told that we have / had privilege told that we must learn about CRT. My dad never had white privilege, we lived in public housing in S.E Washington D.C for the first 8 years of my life, when I think about growing up in such a diverse environment with many black friends I just SMH at all the white folks who haven't a clue but spew "oh your a white man, you have privilege... Try living in public housing for 8 years, seeing your dad struggle every day as our white and black neighbors also did and than tell me about white privilege. Robert. |
