Incorrect. The number of Northern dead is in the mid 300,000s. Southern dead was somewhere in the 260,000s. You appear to have confused the number of Northern dead with the number of Northern dead plus Northern wounded. Many deaths were disease related, interestingly.

So almost 300,000 people died trying to keep black people enslaved. They paid the highest price— on behalf of keeping human beings in brutal bondage. You left that part out of your massively incorrect analysis. A payment in blood…an ignoble, evil, disgusting sacrifice.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where:

Mark I'd agree. Plus another reason.

This shows:

< an overwhelming sacrifice,
< overwhelming evidence on behalf of freedom,
< that Americans can hold their heads high
< standing on the moral high ground

All overcoming the kind of guilt trip which the 1619 advocates are pushing. A payment in blood. A noble sacrifice.
