Frances, and All - I just spoke with Joe Craine at Jonah Ventures, the company that actually did the tests.
Seems we have yet another OPA-Land tempest in a teapot. Craine confirmed the first test indication of human dna at 9400 or so at North Gate was an anomaly. The second test 30 days later showed a number of around 140. This number is not unusual or to be concerned about, according to Craine. Craine said the eColi numbers are the ones to look at in terms of a health threat, and he said the eColi numbers for all the ponds tested are “very low” and should not concern people. Anyway, any lynch party in progress should probably disband. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Marty, Thank you very much for your service and for caring enough to share this important information with all of us. I am both disappointed and saddened that this critical information is coming to us a year later and there still has been no action to not only remedy this but to keep us all protected from any harm. This is a very serious matter that requires immediate action. Over the past year, why hasn't the Board called one of their so-called "special meetings" to address this matter and keep our beautiful community, its members and the public safe? It seems to not be on the agenda. Living in OP part time makes it very difficult to attend these meetings. Not even sure if yet another meeting could or would address/resolve this issue anyway? If anyone has any input, experience, knowledge, etc. on this matter and how to fix this, I think that would be helpful to all of us. TYIA! PS. Joe Reynolds, Would you please print the Environmental Reports once Marty makes them available to us? I'm sure our Community has some fine Environmental Engineers that can help us understand the findings.. TYIA |
