Your committee chair feels the approach taken by Viola and/or the Board was proper so as not to create panic over a test result all seeing it deemed a mistake. A second test was immediately approved by the board and done within 30 days. Your liaison did not drop off the second test result until over about nine months later. It showed the first test was indeed a mistake. Adding to the reasoning the first test was a mistake is that the single high result was not even the same as other samples from the same body of water.
You are more concerned about laying blame on the board for what looks like delayed action by one board member, the liaison, than in the facts indicating the ponds are not in bad shape. I expect most association members are glad to hear there is no major problem requiring, as you opined, the possibility of installing a fence to keep people from the ponds or millions of dollars in sewer line repair. As I wrote early in this discussion, more facts were needed before jumping off that cliff. The facts were easy to obtain. I called the company that performed the tests. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Jacqueline: I guess you didn’t read my post. I said I am not interested in “who struck John”! We were told by our Liaison that the “GM” didn’t want to release the results. When we approached the GM we were told the board told him not to release the results. Whose on first? What this board doesn’t seem to understand is we are not the enemy. They might also be a little more transparent. Marty |
