Section 4: General Subject: Polluted North Gate Pond? Msg# 1141459

Readers can make up their own minds.
It appears the board liaison was the only person with the December second report and staff at the Admin Building say he dropped it off in August or September saying “we can’t let the public know about this.” Or is that staff person lying? Is it a coincidence, after nine or so months, this is pushed now to make the board look bad right after Janasek resigned with a public resignation speech trying to make the board look bad? Again, readers can decide. Me? I am just glad the ponds are not in terrible condition. I also understand the board has approved yearly testing of the ponds. Hopefully those test results will be send to the Board of Directors or the GM, not just a board liaison. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Joe: Wow! Listen to yourself. The board received a report of a pond being heavily polluted by human waste. As I understand it ACT ordered the second test and not OPA. OPA hears nothing more for at least seven months yet does nothing to close off pond or follow up on second test. Somehow or other you feel this is my fault? A conspiracy? I think not. The board should have been on top of this. They were the only ones with the December report. They alone saw a report from a reputable testing company that showed a dangerously polluted pond at Ocean Pines and they did nothing about it. Not a conspiracy, just irresponsible behavior by the board. Look at any way you want but please assign blame where it is due. Marty |
