The Committee is meeting 10/27. "water testing status" is on the agenda. Also in attendance will be John Viola, Justin Hartshorne, Bob Mitchell (Director of Environmental Programs) and possibly Eddie Wells. The meeting minutes will reflect progress made on both unfinished and new business. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Hi Amy. As the new liaison to the Environmental and Natural Assets Committee I request you look into the pond testing process and have board set some sort of policy so we can avoid these kind of disputes in the future. Who does the tests? Who receives the test result. when are the tests done. Etc. At a minimum, the test results should be sent to OPA and the committee, and not through just the liaison. I agree with Marty that the results should be made available to association members, with a complete explanation of the meaning of the results. If anomalies are apparent to those doing the testing, the numbers should still be released with an explanation and perhaps a notice that further testing will be done asap. If the test can be redone quickly, I see no reason not to wait for public release. In short what we see here was a breakdown in process resulting in unneeded controversy. Looking back, since you are good at research, could you find the board motion last year to approve testing? Also, could you contact ACT and find out if they did they initial testing in-house and then had the December second test sent to a testing company in Montana or some other state out west |
