Section 5: OPA Board Subject: Perrone & Clarke Msg# 1144203

I would prefer to think all the board members actually believed what they said as opposed to just saying they lied. As for nothing "emotional about it," I will leave others to decide. You just seem deeply invested in this non-major-item water testing issue. It was an item that fell through the cracks, and the board is at fault for that, but it is not a major issue. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Perrone said it at a public board meeting. It was a complete falsehood. Gene Ringsdorf made a point of standing up at a subsequent board meeting and saying so. Nothing emotional about it. As with the "water's in the pool; water's drained from the pool" I don't trust people who mangle the truth for their own ends. "Fool me once..." is a good practice. Why should I believe anything Perrone says about association affairs? But then, I guess I'm indicting the board or those who participated in the approval of the advertising. You're right. You follow the board meetings much closer than I. Was there a resolution authorizing the placement of those ads for those four or five weeks? What was the vote in favor? Those who voted in favor had to know that the statements were false. Especially after the fact that there was an immediate public backlash about them. Why weren't they pulled or edited? Why was the wording included in the mailings? Liars is such a loaded word. Would you rather I use malfeasance? And would you rather ignore precedent when evaluating subsequent events? |
